A toothbrush manufacturer wanted to understand in-store shopper behavior and decision-making at key retailers.

Approach

Leveraging Prodege’s behavioral data, shoppers who were known to previously have shopped at select retailers were invited to participate in a survey while in-store. Within the survey, they were asked to:

  • Take & Share Photos of the toothbrush aisle and the toothbrush they would buy
  • Record & Share a Video to explain their choices

Results/Applications

  • Spot competitive innovation early
  • Improve shelf presence
  • Learn about long-held brand perceptions
  • Understand how shelving & assortment influence brand choice
  • Identify opportunities to increase facings
  • Monitor discounts and displays by store
