In our recent glimpse into remote working, we learned that the transition to remote working in recent months has been relatively smooth for American workers.

Curious to understand motivations for relocation during this unprecedented year, we recently surveyed 304 of our members who are newly relocated or are considering making a move.

In addition to casting a relatively wide net in terms of distance, being closer to family & friends and/or moving to a more affordable area emerge as key relocation considerations. When asked to elaborate about her recent move, one respondent explains: “I relocated to the Big Island of Hawaii because my parents live here, and I need to be closer to them due to their age.”
