Curious to understand how women view their workplace dynamics and career prospects, we fielded an in-depth survey with our proprietary panel among 1,054 working women in the US.

The first part of our Women in the Workplace research findings focuses on visibility and respect on the job. On this topic, women tend to feel optimistic, though one area of concern emerges.

Here’s where women stand on this issue:

Eight-in-ten strongly” or “somewhat” agree that males and females are treated equally at their workplace and/or that females are well represented in leadership roles.

At least three-quarters of these women indicate they’ve had supportive mentors, be it male or female.

More troubling is the slight majority of women viewing their gender as a potential hurdle when it comes to earning a promotion.

Stay tuned for additional recaps of our Women in the Workplace research, including their favorite female TV bosses and input on the pervasive question, “Can women today have it all?”
