Headstart on Holiday Shopping
Amazon’s new holiday beauty sale is underway and when the news first broke about this shopping event, we surveyed over 1,500 Americans to see if they’re planning to scout for deals.
We learned that 66% are either “very” or “somewhat” likely to make a purchase at Amazon’s upcoming holiday beauty event in October. To a lesser degree, 13% aren’t likely to make a purchase from the Amazon beauty event, but will look for deals & discounts from competing retailers (such as Bath and Body Works, Walmart, Target, Ulta Beauty, and Sephora).

So, which products are most high in demand among those interested in making Amazon purchases? They’ll primarily be looking to score skincare products (56%), gift sets (53%) and/or haircare products (48%).

Also of interest for at least one-in-three is makeup (44%), perfume/cologne/fragrances (37%) and/or men’s grooming products (36%). While this group will chiefly be looking to buy items for themselves, 63% will be on the hunt for holiday gifts.
Speaking of holiday shopping, ‘tis almost the season! Keep an eye on our Resources Library where we’ll soon be sharing timely insights into how shoppers will be navigating holiday prep & presents!
