Several months ago, Prodege signed a lease to move our headquarters to a large new space in El Segundo. After much hard work on conceptualizing an office that will be modern, innovative, safe, and comfortable, we’re gearing up for our HQ to be ready later this summer! I spoke to Prodege’s Senior Office & Events Manager, Jamie Ridley to learn more about all of the exciting upgrades that await our LA employees and the importance of planning fun virtual events during a pandemic to foster connection and positive morale among employees.

Jamie loves that the creation of the new space embraced one of Prodege’s Core Values: Teamwork. He expands:“Our new headquarters you can say is being built by everyone at Prodege! Feedback from Employees, Managers and Execs through surveys, meetings, and casual conversations have enabled our new home to expand on what our current office offers.  There are so many fun details that everyone will want to experience from standing desks at every work space, 12 conference rooms to accommodate any group size to Huddle and Call stations throughout the space. Our technology game will be state of the art, including sound masking, app based door entry to Zoom phone and conference room access. My enjoyment will be when everyone comes in and shares their excitement from the new space!”

Another important staple in the office kitchen that’s getting an upgrade? The beverage system! “A few weeks ago we had a test machine installed that will offer bean-to-cup brewing with capabilities to offer Lattes, Mochas, Cappuccinos, Hot Chocolate, and a fresh cup of Coffee!  We’ll also be installing a Bevi machine for sparkling and flat flavor infused water! Each machine will have QR Code smartphone ordering, enabling a limited touch experience!”

Our new HQ is progressing nicely!

While Jamie is well versed in planning in-person events, he embraced the challenge to pivot to online events in this age of remote working. “My inspiration for any event is to make sure everyone feels connected and has an opportunity to participate…I feel proud when the event takes off on its own and becomes bigger than what I expected! I focused on creating a fun experience for everyone from Morning Coffees, to Happy Hours and special Holiday Events. The connection for remote teammates has been amazing and I want to keep that engagement as we start to reopen the office with in-person experiences.”
